Effective Inflencing and Communication


We run lots of tailored workshops looking at influencing and communication. Listed below are some of the topics we can cover in a two day workshop, We also offer shorter workshops focusing on one or more individual topics.


  • Influence and effective communication – to explore what influencing is and is not, what effective influencers do, and how we know when we have influenced someone .
  • Myers-Briggs  – to explore the use of Myers-Briggs in developing influencing strategies
  • Develop an influencing strategy – what are the triggers and turn-offs for different types of people, what can we do to prepare when we haven’t met someone before, when to use email, telephone etc.
  • Building trust – to explore how can you build trust with different types of people and what breaks trust.
  • Outcomes thinking – how to be clear about what we want out of each interaction, how we know when we have it, how to contract with others on a clear outcome.
  • Developing rapport– how to develop rapport quickly face-to-face and on the phone, explore rapport at all levels (verbal, body language etc).
  • Developing credibility and confidence– to explore how to develop, anchor and maintain a confident presence when dealing with regulators or senior staff.
  • Dealing with challenges – working through some real challenges faced in day to day business.
